How do I check out or close a work order?

The Skylark App enables you to take control of Work Orders that you are authorised and qualified to complete. Please see the “How do I find my Work Orders?” article for more details.

Once you have taken control of a Work Order you can close a completed Work Order, or Check-out of a Work Order that is still in progress. Select the blue circle with the three white lines at the bottom of the Work Order Session screen:

There are 3 options highlighted at the top of the menu, the first is the option to close the work order:

Option 1: Close Work Order - This option closes the WO and should be used when the work is complete.

Option 2: Check Out & Suspend - This option suspends the work order. The work order can be taken up again at a later date or time by any qualified and authorised person.  When selecting this option make sure that all isolations have been removed and the turbine is back in operation.

Option 3: Check Out & Surrender - This option surrenders the work order. The work order must be restarted and completed by the person who surrendered it.  This option is for situations when isolations are still in place and the turbine is not back in operation.

If for any reason the original person or team cannot return, for example sickness, then a change of control process can be conducted through the Skylark Portal to suspend the Work Order and enable another qualified person to resume the work.

Once you have selected an option to close or check out of a Work Order click on the blue CONFIRM button. A pop-up message will appear giving you the option to add a restriction on the Asset.  Select No if this is not necessary.

If there are no mandatory Site forms, the Work Order will be marked Closed, Suspended or Surrendered and Skylark App will display the Site list screen. If there is a mandatory Site form you will be prompted to complete it, the Form cannot be submitted until the questions marked with a red asterisk and completed.
