How can I take control of a Work Order when the app tells me I’m not authorised?

Unauthorised

There are a few reasons why you might not be able to take control of a Work Order in the Skylark app; you might need to add a new competency to Skylark or an existing competency may have expired, or you may not be authorised on the asset category needed to complete the work.

If you can see the Work Order that you want to take control of and it is marked as “Unauthorised” you may need to update your Skylark profile to include a missing competency.

Check the list of competencies that are required for the Work Order, in the example Worker Order WRK94116 requires an AT-Nordex competency which is highlighted in amber. To take control of this Work Order the user will need to upload the appropriate certificate to Skylark.

If you return to the Site page on the app you should see a notification at the top warning that you are missing a competency or your competency has expired. The message includes a link that will take you to the Skylark Portal so that you can upload the necessary certificates.

See “How do I upload my competency certificates to Skylark”

If you follow the instructions an check your competencies are up to date and you still are Unauthorised; please email the site control centre forwarding on a copy of your certificate.

Not Authorised

If there is a warning at the top of the screen explaining that you do not have authorisation to work on this category of asset you will need to contact the Site control centre and request that the asset category be added to your profile.

See “How do I find out who to contact about access to a Site?”
