The Skylark Mobile App can be used to take control of approved Work Orders but it can also be used to request approval for new Work Orders that are based on known procedures. Work Orders created from procedures can be pre-approved or they can require approval.
To request approval for a new Work Order, based on a known procedure, first login to the Skylark Mobile App and select the Site you are looking for. When you select a Site the details will be displayed in the App and will include a list of Site Assets at the bottom of the page. If there are many Assets on Site you may need to scroll down.
Find the Site Asset that needs a new Work Order and select it. At the bottom of the Asset Details screen you will see available Work Orders and an option for Procedures.
Select the Procedures and you will see a list of known, predefined, procedures for the Site. If there are many procedures you may need to scroll down to find the one that you are looking for. When you find the the procedure select it to see the available options.
The first option will be to Create a Work Order based on the procedure.
Select the Create Work Order option and you will see a form simple that requests you provide a reason for the new Work Order. A reason must be provided before you can submit the Work Order for approval.
The Submit button is enabled when a reason is provided.
Use the Submit button to request approval for the new Work Order. A new Work Order will appear in the list of Work for the Asset, it will be marked as Pending Approval. You cannot take control of the Work Order until it is approved.
Once the Site Owner or Manager has approved the work order it will be marked as Available and you can take control and complete the work.
