1. Battery Optimisation or App Sleeping
Samsung can “optimise” background activity — which will silently revoke permissions or block access.
✅ Fix:
- Go to Settings → Battery and device care → Battery → Background usage limits
- Add your app to “Never sleeping apps”
Also check:
- Settings → Apps → [Your App] → Battery → Set to Unrestricted
2. Privacy Dashboard / Permission Manager Resets
Samsung (esp. on Android 12/13/14) has privacy settings that reset unused app permissions.
✅ Fix:
- Settings → Privacy → Permission manager → Location
- Tap your app, set to “Allow while using” or “Ask every time”
- Then go back and disable “Remove permissions if app isn’t used” (if present)
3. Device Care or Security App Interference
Samsung’s built-in Device Care or security tools sometimes override app-level settings.
✅ Fix:
- Go to Settings → Device care or Security
- Disable anything like auto-optimise, auto-clean, or permission monitor
