How do I check on and off a Site?

The Skylark mobile App lets you find the Sites that you have access to, and check onto those, directly on your phone. If you have access to a Site, and you have completed any mandatory induction, you will be able to check onto a site, and start a site session. You will also be able to fill in any mandatory site forms and check off the site. 

First login to the App and you will see a list of sites that you can access. If you don’t see the sites you will see a list of options and the top one will be a sites button. Press this button to see the list of sites.

From the list select the Site that you want to work on, if you have access to many sites you may need to scroll to find the site you are looking for. When you select a Site the details will be displayed in the App. At the top of the screen is a Site Session - Check In button. Press this to start the check in process, you can cancel if you decide not to proceed. 

Press the Site Session Check In button and you will be taken to a simple form where you can give a reason for your site visit and an estimated time for leaving the site. By default the estimated time is set to 4 hours from check in, but you can change that. Note that have to provide a reason for the site check, you can’t leave this blank.

When you are ready to start the site session select the Check On Site button. If there are any Site Restrictions recorded against this site you will be asked to read them and acknowledge that you are aware of the restrictions.

In the example screenshot there are many restrictions on the site, added for demonstrations. Each restriction is categorised and grouped together. When you Accept the restriction your site session will start, with a prominent timer at the top of the screen.

You can check off site using the menu options at the bottom of the screen, press the blue circle with the lines:

The Site Session options menu will be displayed and the top option will be Check Off Site:

Select Check off Site and you will be asked to confirm:

When you confirm that you want to check our you can also choose to add new Site restrictions or you can just check off site:

The last step is to add a note for your site session, this can’t be skipped, a short note on the work carried out on site or any additional information about the site visit would be appropriate:

Add a note and select Continue - you are now checked off site.
