How do I update my competencies on the Skylark Mobile App?

The Skylark mobile App lets you update your competencies directly on your phone. If you have access to a Site you will be able to update your competencies for that site using the Skylark mobile App. 

First login to the App and you will see a list of sites that you can access. If you don’t see the sites you will see a list of options and the top one will be a sites button. Press this button to see the list of sites.

 



From the list select the Site that you want to work on, if you have access to many sites you may need to scroll to find the site you are looking for. When you select a Site the details will be displayed in the App. If there are any issues with your competencies there will be a notification at the top of the screen.


Select the “Upload Now” link and you will be redirected to your Mobile Browser to complete the process. You may have to login to the Skylark Web Portal on your Mobile, if you haven’t done so recently. The Skylark Web Portal can be accessed with the same email address and password that you use to login to the Skylark Mobile App. 



Login to the Skylark Portal and you will be taken directly to the Competency page where you can see all of your required competencies and the status. If you have an expired competency or have yet to upload your competency documentation you can do that on this page. Click the Upload link to send your documentation to the Site Owner/Supervisor for approval.


When you click the upload link you will need to provide an expiry date for your competency and documentation. These details will only be shared with Site Control Room supervisors authorised to approve your access to the Site and Site Assets.

 

You can use the Choose Supporting Document button to upload a document or image that you have on your phone or to take a photograph of a document and upload that to Skylark. 


When you have provided an expiry date and uploaded the required support document or photograph the Submit for Approval button will become available.


Remember that the submission needs to be approved by the Site Owner or Site Manager/Supervisor before you can work on the site. By updating your competencies on the Skylark Platform the relevant authorisation will be fast tracked. 


Make sure that all of the required competencies are up to date and once approved you will be able to use the Skylark Mobile App to work on site.
