How do I contact the right person in the event of an emergency?

Please note that we strongly advise that you follow the emergency procedures of the Site Owner and of your employer as a priority. If the Site Owner has configured a Site emergency number on Skylark we will be able to direct you to that number, but you should familiarise yourself with the Site's emergency procedures and make sure that you follow them correctly.

If configured by the Site Owner, the Skylark Mobile App can help direct you to the correct phone number to call in the event of an emergency.

Skylark supports a Site Emergency number and a Regional Emergency number, both are optional but if they are configured by the Site Owner, the Skylark App can simplify contacting these numbers.

When you log-on to the Skylark App you will see an amber triangle at the top of the screen, this triangle is visible on most screens but it is particularly prominent when checked into a site or a Work Order.

When you click on the amber triangle you will be taken to the Skylark App Emergency screen. This screen will always offer a quick way to contact the Emergency Services. You can jump directly to your phones dialer by selecting any of the call buttons presented on the Emergency screen.

Included on the Skylark App Emergency screen is information about your last known location. This will have been collected on site check in or if you have responded to a way point. You can use the What Three Words code on the screen to share your location with the Emergency Services.

In a session: you can choose to update your current location by clicking on the UPDATE MY LOCATION button. If you have moved you should see the What Three Words change to reflect your current location.

If you are on a site that has been configured with a Site Emergency number this number will also be displayed.

You can quickly call the Site Emergency number by clicking on the call button. Please note that if an Emergency Number has not been configured for a site this option will not be available.

If you are on a site that has been configured with a Regional Emergency number this number will also be displayed.

If you are on a site that has been configured to support incident reporting, as well as Emergency reporting, you will see an option to report an incident directly through the Skylark App. Please note that this is not a substitute for contacting Emergency Services. In the event of a genuine emergency always contact the Emergency Service and follow the Site Emergency Policy.

If the Skylark Incident reporting form is enabled for a site it will appear at the bottom of the Skylark App Emergency screen.

Select the blue SUBMIT INCIDENT INFO button to submit an incident report through the Skylark platform.

Add a description of the incident in the reporting form and select from a list of incident types. Then select the blue SUBMIT INCIDENT button. Your incident will be sent the Skylark Operational Control Centre and the Site Incident contacts will be notified of the details of the incident.
